It’s time for new momentum in the electronic music scene. Things have changed, but the people behind the curtains are the same as always, if not, they have become even more so. But how do you bring new momentum and new ideas to such a long-lived scene?

Many of you already know the Amsterdam Dance Event – ADE for short, at which the whole electronic music scene gathers for a long weekend in October every year for partying, attending conferences or just networking. A little smaller, but following the same concept, is the Berlin Dance Music Event – DME for short.

The Berlin Dance Music Event is a forward-thinking project that creates an exciting and valuable gathering of the electronic music industry and uses innovative concepts to develop and implement the future of networking, learning and partying.

This is a multi-day Event for the industry that provides an educational and influential platform where the new generation of artists and professionals can be inspired and work on their personal development. In addition, the event offers high-quality contributions on current topics in the scene and is also an ideal place to network with established players in the industry.

Of course it is a challenge to put together facing the ever changing pandemic regulations.

Last year the Team of the Berlin DME, started a first run and was surprised by the overwhelming support of all participating partys. To realize an event under such conditions is a big challenge, but nevertheless a chance to proactively create new opportunities and to strengthen and develop the feeling of love for electronic music and the cohesion of the scene.

This year the Berlin Dance Music Event will be held again and will take place from November 13-14 near the Oberbaumbrücke. Not only the already partly announced program with masterclasses or live interviews/talks, but also the promising venues like the Riverside Studio, the Ritter Butzke, the Pirate Studios, the SAE Institute and the PUMA Showroom let us expect a great and versatile event. Look forward to, among others, artists such as: Emanuel Satie, Introversion, Tube by Tube and Berger, Juliet Sikora, ÅMRTÜM, Fejká, Aparde and many more!

This year it will still be the winter, but already from 2022 it is planned to put the event firmly in the spring (April/May), in order to create enough time distance to the Amsterdam Dance Music Event.
