In the beginning of the year 2023, Resident Advisor wrote an article about the fact that electronic music events were less and less accessible to the working class and middle class. Electronic Music’s fundamentals are based on diversity, accessibility and inclusion but the reality is that festivals, clubs and events are getting less and less accessible. Cost of tickets, entrance selection, cult of body, cost of dj fees are creating what most of us fought against for more than three decades. Events such as Parades, free parties, open air events are more than ever vital to keep electronic music events accessible and inclusive. This panel will explore what are the solutions to create a counter power based on inclusion, diversity, kindness and open minded events. How can we build together a European network of people and organizations committed to these strong values of ecology, accessibility, local talents and maintain electronic music events accessible to the biggest number?
