Rido is a unique music composer and sound engineer from Prague.
He was drawn into electronic music after being exposed to the heavy beats of The Prodigy.
In 2004 he moved to Sydney to study sound engineering at SAE. After he returned back to Prague, he started to concentrate on making music and mixing full-time.
His first international release was a soulful tech slammer, featuring the vocals of Spikey Tee, called “Life is Strange,” for the Holland based Fokuz recordings.
In 2010 Rido meet up in the studio with Concord Dawn and made several tracks. One track called “One and Only” is featuring on the
Concord Dawn´s album called “Enemy within” and track “The Heat” was released on Uprising with another big track from Rido called “Detonate”
But the big turnover for Rido happened in 2011.
In February he released tracks Exoplanet and Poison on Black sun empire imprint called Obsessions, and that push him to write another track called Focus.
Focus was the first track that cought Metelheadz attention.
After that Rido started immediately working hard on a new material for the legendary label and the first that followed was
The Prague connection EP with his friend Hybris that came out in August 2011. Not long after Rido released his big single for Metalheadz with tracks “Twisted” and “Core”. After that he released solo on Metalheadz called “Faith” .
In 2015 he released interesting collab Ep, this time with Austrian talent Mefjus. Ep has been released on Blackout music in June 2015 and it was called “Optimum trajectory” .
In the same year collaboration with Counterstrike on a opening show for Let it roll festival led to creating track with the same name “Let it roll”. Track got such a great respond that it turned into an anthem.
In September 2016 Rido released his debut album called
“Rhythm of life”.
In 2017 Rido continued his search for interesting combinations of energy and melodies with another two singles on his home label Blackout. First single with tracks
“Sexy thing” and collab “Respond” and second with rave influanced banger called
“Say it loud” and collaboration with the legendary Optiv called “Liar”.
In 2018 before the festival season kicked in he released another single on Blackout music with tracks “ The journey” and heavy hitting “Roll the drums”.
And by the end of 2018 he takes us for futuristic trip through his music with the release of tracks “Alien” and “Whithin” for his home label Blackout.
2019 Rido started with his first release for another iconic label this time Eatbrain. And he brings us Ep “Rido & the Gang”. It is collaborative Ep with artists such as Joe Ford, Jade and Counterstrike. Featuring as well one solo track called “Stranger”.
And just before the summer he released new single with tracks “Point” and “Beyond” for Blackout. Another showcase of his really unique style.
2019 also sets a new mark for him, he started his own label called Rido music. The aim of the label is releasing high quality music that is not limited by any bounderies. .First single with the track “Remember” was released on the 23rd of September and had a great feedback from the scene, And another release are in the pipe line.
To finish off the year in a nice way Rido wrote special track for “15 years of Shogun audio” album called “On my own”.
And release another single on his new label just before the Christmas with Uk badman Malux.
During the Covid times Rido continued to release music on his Rido music label with tracks like Orbit collab with Malux, My thoughts ft. Mc Coppa, Inner balance or Wave chunk. During the pandemic Rido also felt strong need to create some space for collaborating more with other artits and Plat:form was born. The first release on the label was a compilation called Footprints.
Rido work also includes several really interesting remixes for artists like
Black sun empire, John B, Freq naste, Andain and more.
As a sound engineer Rido worked on a lot of movie sound tracks and music records. To name a few : movie “Red tails” for George Lucas, sound track for Westworld tv series, Dangerous Laisons Netflix tv series, Hauser plays Morricone or Engelbert Humperdinck with the Prague symphony – Legacy of love.
